Step 1: Open the Website
On your laptop, open Google Chrome and follow these steps:
Type share.zoom.us into the address bar at the top and press Enter.
You will see a box asking for a Meeting ID.
Look at the TV screen in the room. The Meeting ID will be displayed at the top.
Type that number into the box on your laptop and click Share Screen.
Step 2: Enter the Sharing Key
To make sure you aren't accidentally sharing with the room next door, Zoom will ask for a Sharing Key.
Look at the TV screen in the room. A small 6-letter code (the Sharing Key) will appear in the top right corner.
Type those letters into the pop-up window on your laptop.
Click Share.
Step 3: Pick What to Share
Your laptop will now ask exactly what you want the room to see.
A window will pop up with options. Choose "Entire Screen" to show everything, or "Window" to show only one specific file (like a PowerPoint).
Click the small picture of your screen to select it.
Click the blue Share button at the bottom.
How to Stop Sharing
When you are finished with your presentation:
Look for the red button at the top or bottom of your laptop screen labeled "Stop Share".
