Overview

You can subscribe to the calendars in your Veracross Portal, using a variety of applications and devices. By doing so, whenever Carmel Catholic adds new events and schedules, not only will they display in the Portal calendar, but on any device or application that you have setup. Some examples of applications that can be synched are Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Yahoo Calendar. Also mobile device calendars on iPhones and Android devices can be synced as well (If you subscribe using your desktop for your Google or Apple calendar, it will automatically populate to your phone calendar). 

 

Subscribing to Calendars

  1. Log into your Veracross  Parent Portal. 

  2. On the right hand side of the screen you will see a button under Parent Resources toward the bottom of the list, ‘Subscribe to School Calendar(s)’. 

    1. Click on the Subscribe to School Calendar(s) button.

    2. The Calendar Subscription page will open up.

    3. FOR GOOGLE CALENDARS ONLY: Check the Subscribe Using Google Calendar box. (For any other calendar application (Apple, Microsoft, etc) leave this box unchecked). 

    4. Under School Calendars, click on the Subscribe button on the All School Events line. 

    5.  Your default calendar application will open up Google Calendar, with a prompt to add the calendar, click Add. 

    6. Your Calendar will then populate with the School Calendar, and you will now see the Calendar added to your calendar options. 

    7. Your subscription to the All School Calendar is now complete. You can repeat steps 4-7 for any other calendars that you wish to subscribe to under Athletics. 

The refresh of your calendar can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5+ hours. This can depend on several factors, including internet speed, and application type. If you do not see any information within a few minutes, you can let it update in the background, by minimizing the calendar application or switching browser tabs, depending on your application.

Note: Calendars subscriptions are supported for 4 weeks back and 52 weeks ahead of the current day.
